I really felt I needed to paint and change the light fixtures and fans. My other realtor's did not think it was necessary but you did. Changing the back-splash in the kitchen was a great idea also. "We found ourselves house hunting across the country from NY to TX. My husband could only go to TX for 2-3 days to start the mission so he went ahead while I scouted online at home in NY. This was working ok but not great. We ran across Lance Pate because there was a house we wanted to see that he had listed. Weren't we lucky? Lance spent that whole first day showing my husband houses and changing houses to see as I was texting updates of houses I'd found online. He was very patient and caught on quickly to what we were looking for in a house/neighborhood/community. I think Lance must have shown my husband 40-50 houses in 2 days. Once they had narrowed the search down to 6-10 houses, I flew in with the kids to look at all the houses. Lance was great about not only showing me the houses but sharing the thoughts my husband had about each house, as well, since he couldn't be with us. Lance's follow up with us by phone and email when we had questions was extremely fast and he kept us in the loop in a timely manner. We never had to hunt him down to find out the current status on a home. He always beat us to the punch. We found a great house and when the mortgage people weren't getting things done fast enough, Lance was the middle man who sped things along. Well, you would think that was the end of the story and another satisfied customer was had:.but, after we closed on the house and started moving in Lance was to the rescue on several occasions. During move in, we noticed our upstairs air conditioner wasn't cooling. It was the middle of summer and every air conditioning company we called said it would be at least a week. Lance used his connections and we had a serviceman out that very day! We were finally able to sleep upstairs. On another occasion, my husband was out of town and I accidentally locked me and the kids out of the house right before a doctor's appointment. All the locksmiths said it would be several hours until they could be there. Lance came and picked me and the kids up and took us to my doctor's appointment where my mom could then pick us up later. His wife even helped us find a great dentist, hair salon, etc. which as a mom takes a lot of time in a new town. He has saved the day many times and became our friend in the process. He isn't just a salesman or real estate agent. He really cares about people and what they need during a moving process. Any time I come across someone buying or selling a house, I tell them about Lance Pate. I cannot say enough good things about him. He really is the best real estate agent we've ever dealt with!"
